Develop a Tapering Strategy

Monthly

Develop a tapering strategy before performance days by reducing training volume while maintaining or slightly increasing intensity. Experiment to find the optimal taper length for your individual needs.

It's dropping the volume back in climbing but maintaining sometimes actually slightly increasing the intensity in those last one to two weeks... tapering for each climber is so so individualized... you need to experiment to get there.
