Program Modules
Introduction to Neurographic Art
Understanding the principles and benefits of neurographic art. Neurographica is based off the psychological method created by pavel piskarev in 2014.
Define Your Challenge
DailyIdentify a specific area of discomfort, concern, or challenge you want to address. As the original text suggests: Consider an area of discomfort, concern, or a challenge. Write this down in a simple word or statement on the back of your paper.
Creating Your Neurographic Drawing
The process of creating the initial drawing based on your chosen challenge.
Expressive Scribbling
DailyFocus on your challenge and scribble freely for three long seconds, allowing lines to express your feelings.
“Focus on your challenge whatever you wrote on the back of your paper and for three long seconds just scribble.”
Line Extension
DailyExtend all lines to the edges of the paper to avoid stopping points within the drawing.
“If any lines do not extend to the edges continue them off the page so that no lines stop anywhere inside the edges of your paper”
Transformation and Rounding
Transforming sharp corners into curves to create a more positive and flowing image.
Corner Rounding
DailyRound out all corners at line intersections to transform stress into beauty and positivity.
“You're going to now curve out all of your corners to transform your image and also hopefully your reality”
Enhancing Composition
Adding lines and shapes to balance the composition and further transform the image.
Add Lines and Shapes
DailyAdd additional lines and shapes, rounding out new corners as you go, to enhance the composition.
“Add additional lines to enhance your composition and where to put them is up to you”
Adding Color
Enhancing the drawing with color to create a more vibrant and impactful piece.
Coloring the Drawing
DailyUse watercolor, colored pencils, or other media to add color to the shapes in your drawing, experimenting with different values and layering.
“Enhance your work with color.”
Reflection and Completion
Reflecting on the process and the final product to understand the impact of neurographic art.
