Keep a daily diary to track instances of gossip you encounter (either participate in or witness). Note the context, your reaction, and potential personal triggers. Consider any past experiences that might make you more sensitive to gossip.

This module focuses on actively avoiding gossip, changing your behavior, and using implementation intentions to solidify new habits. You'll also explore strategies to resist social pressure and create a commitment device.

Avoid Gossip Practice & Commitment

Daily

Practice avoiding gossip in your daily life by either changing the subject, walking away, or directly stating you don't want to participate. Create an 'if-then' implementation intention to guide your actions. Identify a commitment device to further reinforce your anti-gossip stance.
