Training the Hyper Dog: Focus and Impulse Control

Use an exaggerated hand gesture along with the verbal cue 'Look at me'.

Click the clicker the instant the dog makes eye contact and immediately reward with a treat.

“I'm gonna click because I like that remember the click means "Good dog, I like what you did, you win a prize."”

Drop a treat on the ground, but prevent the dog from getting it with the leash.

When the dog looks away from the treat, click and give them a different treat from your hand.

Use a lure to teach a dog to sit
